JDM Phonkrace

A daylight image edition in which you can see the environment better.

This is a whole scene setup, the environment was made enough just to be visible from one point of view as I had no intentions of using this scene for animation.

The buildings are modeled to look like Tokyo’s city district, not much detail has been added to them as they were supposed to be blurred anyway. I added a little bit of wet details only to the glossy buildings since the scene was in a rainy environment.

The apartment lights were UV projected from view by using a couple of stock images I downloaded online.

I chose neon commercial screens with the sole purpose of creating a feeling of wild energy in the city, bright and wild colors are a sure way to create live and vivid environment lighting.

The design of the street is worn out, the most effort was invested in the pavement because it is the part of the street that catches the eye the most. My favorite part was putting the spots where the raindrops hit the street.

The main focus of the image is this car called Toyota AE86 Black Limited Kouki.
The car wasn’t modeled by me, it was downloaded from Sketchfab by an artist named Bexxie.

The only thing I did with this car was adding raindrops, putting my logo on it and make it white since it was originally black.

I especially opted for this car design because it is a classic JDM vehicle used in many drift events.

Traffic vehicles were modeled as simply as they could because only their shapes and colors could be seen in the blurred distance of the frame.

Pedestrians were created by finding the images of people on the internet, and then 2D models were made out of them, after that the pictures were UV projected into those models. It was a very simple step and did not require a lot of time since the pedestrians were planned on being blurred.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROJECT WAS TO SHOW MY SKILLS OF PRESENTING OTHER PEOPLES 3D MODELS/PRODUCTS IN CASE THEY HIRE ME TO DO THAT.
